I have UBUNTU 10.04 and am having problems with the authentication password. It doesnt seem to matter what I put in it just kicks it back or does nothing at all.Was wanting to try a complete install of ZORIN, but the iso I downloaded and then burned to dvd disc with NERO will not boot.Have tryed boot menu bios changes but constantly keeps going to UBUNTU .Have heard others with same problem ,but ZORIN devs think its all an operator error because theres loaded just fine.
I find ubuntu fascinating ,but slow. I like a windows type OS because its what I am used to.
When will LINUX become a simple WYSIWYG OS ?
When it does I and the world will jump on board. Until then its you techies that will continue with this stuff. I am 48 years old and don't need any more technical stuff not working easily.
Your a great community of intelligent people. Hats off .
I will have to stick with windows and microjunk for now.
It is already. You say you don't want to know the techs, but are able to install Ubuntu, so I think it is already there where you want it to be.
Did you burn the Zorin CD as image or as data CD? Means, when you open the CD under Windows or Ubuntu, do you see the iso-file, or are there others? If you see the iso-file, you have burnt in the wrong mode.
Thanks TobiSGD.
I believe I did write as data.
I did see the iso file.
I will try again with image burn thru NERO.
I looked on youtube and found some Zorin videos.

If you are using Windows, there is a free program called ISOBurn which is easy to use to burn any Distro. When burning a CD or DVD just make sure you select the burn ISO option.
I ordered a wireless keyboard for it and am looking forward to hooking up to TV.
I Hope to make a media center out of it. Or just surf the internet from my recliner.
