i install camorama and my web cam working.
my web cam cam is
creative labs FC N10225
on zoneminder is 00 fps .

tell what the log files are doing.
by default they are in /tmp and also some logs go to /var/log/messages.

reboot zoneminder whilst

Code:
tail -f /tmp/*.log &

i actually got the same error when trying to upgrade from version 1.23 to version 1.24, so in the end had to do a clean install for 1.24 and then restoring db from backup....

also from looking at your screenshot, the camera link should be green. Check zoneminder is actually started from the web interface and on the server.
notice the camera link is green

hang on..you are saying you have no /tmp directory?
what about /var/log/messages??

You need to be tailing either of these logs whilst clicking on the camera.
The most common problem i have seen in zoneminder is with shared memory.
Find out where your zoneminder logs are and have a look at those.

options->paths will tell you where the logs are generated

resolution settings I'm gessing. The pixels have to be specified and be EXACT. EG 351x260 or something... I have recently set up an IP camera with ZM, it's actually really easy to work with. =) Just make sure the source and resolution are exact. You'll need to figure out where your camera outputs it's jmpeg so zm can grab it.

[edit] Yes the links have to be green. What we need is a screenshot of the source setup, where you have /dev/devname and then /path/to/image.jpeg ect...

All ZM does is grab a single jpeg that your camera updates every .xx secconds. It's mjpeg, or motion jpeg... really it's a bunch of jpeg's that your camera outputs and zm grabs. Anyways screenshot of the source setup, that'll help more.

You took a picture of the "monitor" section, what I want is for you to click on the "source" section. The links are divided up into 3 sections, Name/Function/Source

If you click on the link under Name (ie the name of the cam) you get the "Monitor" page. If you click under Function you can decide what you want it to do (ie record or not ect...). If you click under the Source section you get the camera's setup stuff... That's what I want to see, the source/setup area. I need to know what you put in there in order to help you. =P

Code:
Sep 4 08:59:10 localhost zmc_dvideo[26137]: INF [Debug Level = 0, Debug Log = <none>]
Sep 4 08:59:10 localhost zmc_dvideo[26137]: ERR [No monitors found]
What's the "general" tab give us? I have a feeling the monitor isn't in the right mode.

on your zoneminder home page, click on your camera (link) under source. In the pop up window that opens is the source tab.
