Zenwalk Install to USB doesn't boot

Hellow Zenwalkers! I am a 2-year old Linux newbie who has few computer skills and lives almost entirely in a desktop enironment. I've experimented with dozens of different iso's I've burned and been busy with mostly Puppy Linux the last 9 months or so. I got frustrated with not having a start-up guide or a manual, 2 reasons to try Zenwalk which has both.I've also found Puppy a little fragile for my ham-fisted methods resulting in numerous crashes(entirely operator error!)and hope to find Zenwalk a little more durable. I have 2 computers which I'll be using; a 3-year old Compaq pressario (this one)that Zenwalk is already installed on, and my problem child, an ancient Dell Impressario that has a dead CD drive and no option to boot a flashdrive in the BIOS. I've only been able to load new distros by using "PLOP" on a floppy, then booting through the USB option. For whatever reason, I can only do this if the OS is installed in a Linux partition - FAT 32 partitions just don't work here. I tried installing Zenwalk to a flashdrive using the live CD, but I believe it must be using a FAT 32 partition. Is there a way to install Zenwalk to a flashdrive using a Linux partion (ala GRUB)? Also, in the start-up manual, I saw reference to something called "Live Clone" but I swear I can't find it anywhere, not even in the applications finder. Please keep my skill level in mind: I'm OK with a few short commands in the terminal, but long strings of code eat me alive. Thanks.

Looking for LiveClone?

Thanks RockDoctor - Of course when I said Grub I meant G-Parted, and I see in the document that you linked to me I can run G-Parted and use a Linux Partition before I install Zenwalk to the flashdrive. Just for the record, where do I find "Live Clone"? It may just be my thick headedness, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Many thanks!

The link should point you to the LiveCLone description. I just clicked the above link, and, at least on my system, the link takes me to the proper page - I had to scroll down to the actual description. It's been ages since I actually tried Zenwalk. Once upon a time, probably a couple of fried hard drives ago, I found now-forgotten website that actually explained how to create a bootable flash drive from an iso. It used syslinux with a FAT-formatted flash drive, but if you can do the same thing using extlinux (also part of the syslinux package) and an ext2 or ext3 filesystem.
