Zentyal File Server Error

I have been using Zentyal 2.0 as a file server with the following file sharing method,

/server/
/server/Folder1
/server/Folder2

And created group as managers, group1, group2 with the file sharing permission as follows

managers --> /server
group1 --> /server/Folder1
group2 --> /server/Folder2

The above settings was working fine. The same setup is not working with Zentyal 3.0. The managers group only could access /server, the other groups couldn't access their folders respectively. Any idea how to implement the above setup in Zentyal 3.0?

I think I stand for many LQ users when I say that many of us don't have much if any experience dealing with Zentyal as it's a whole new boot option, OS as so I believe by the little research I've done. A better explanation of what I mean is that most people on LQ haven't did much with Zentyal and is morely foreign to them than not. I don't mean to discourage you from using LQ by any means (LQ is a great forum for Linux questions which I've used for around a year but only have recently registered and started going on regularly) but I do believe that contacting Zentyal support would be a better way to solve this problem as they would have more knowledge on their product than us. The contact link is right here: http://www.zentyal.com/contact-sales/ As by the looks of your problem, and the use of Zentyal, you could possibly switch to a different FTP server like FileZilla's server or another alternative to that which you can make users and set their base directories to /server/Folder# and have manager logins with the base directory of /server. If you would like a recommendation of what OS to use as a non-resource intensive Linux OS for just hosting a file server, CentOS would be a nice choice.

Note: I'm going off the belief that your file server is FTP and not a web-based one. If it's web based, I'm sure there's some sort of software that manages files on a remote server with a web interface nicely.

If another LQ user posts a answer to this problem I will edit/delete this post to accommodate. Sorry I couldn't be of great help.
