Zen Vision M connecting/transferring

ok, I have been looking a lot on google if I could do it on my own at first, but since I'm not so familiar with ubuntu (even tho I set samba up on my own), I would need a lil help connecting my Zen Vision M to this computer and copy all the things I have on it to my computer, I tried making it work with Wine but it wont support my "windows version" (lol) so now I dont know what to do.

and if there has been threads, like this one already before please post the link! thanks!

The solution for me

My wife just got a Creative Zen Vision:M. (It is Creative's response and competitor to the Apple iPod Video.) She has OpenSUSE 10.1 on her computer. I updated to Amarok 1.4.4 which also polled in a recent version of libmtp. I then followed the instructions on this page:

After that manually created an MTP device in Amarok. She can now put music and other files on the unit. We have not tried video yet but I am very hopeful.

I use Debian Etch and got my Zen Vision:M working by recompiling Amarok with libmtp since the version of Amarok that came with Etch doesn't have mtp support built in. libmtp 0.1.2 gave me problems when I compiled Amarok but libmtp 0.1.0 seems fine. I needed to install the libusb-dev packages for libmtp.
