yum remove openssl*

I've issued the following:

Quote:

yum remove openssl*
Why? cause did not think on the consequences ; now i can't even issue a yum install, it says that yum is not found, etc...

Is there any way to recover the system without making a reinstall?

Many Thanks!

In your other threads, you mention you're using RedHat Enterprise, and that you're licensed. Have you called RedHat support, since you're paying for it?

You can go to the RedHat repository via your web browser, and download the openssl packages, and reinstall them manually with the "rpm -i" command. Since you're also having problems with your eth0 device (from another thread), a reinstall wouldn't be a bad idea.
