yum problem ..!

when I run yum command for any software updating or upgrading it shows the following msg ..

updating Red hat repositories
File contains no section headers.
file: <???> ,line 5
' ftp://archive.download.redhat.com/pu.../os/i386/SRPMS'

I dont understand what does file CONTAINS NO SECTION HEADERS mean ??

the FTP red hat SRPMS ( source -rpm's ) archive is not a regular RHN repo

please contact your RED HAT tech support Rep. for the correct data to be used in that rhn repo file

also those files in the link are from 1999 and 2000
and for a 13 year old and out of date OS
the very ancient RH6
RH6
RH7
RH8
RH9
RHEL3
RHEL4
RHEL5
RHEL6

they are 7 versions out of date
Using "yum" started in RHEL5
there is no way for those Ancient source rpms to be installed using yum
