yum install


dear friends,

i tried to install gambas in fedora core 4 using this commands

$ yum install gambas-ide-1.0.17
Setting up Install Process
Setting up repositories
updates-released 100% |=========================| 951 B 00:00
extras 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00
base 100% |=========================| 1.1 kB 00:00
Reading repository metadata in from local files
Parsing package install arguments
No Match for argument: gambas-ide-1.0.17
Nothing to do

may i know what happened here. is gambas 1.0.17 installed?

yum install gambas-ide.i386

if u want to know gambas install or not, use this command

rpm -qa |grep gambas

shows that the package gambas-ide-1.0.17 is not available through the repositories that you have yum configured to look in. This means that gambas-ide-1.0.17 is not at the repositories or maybe you miss typed it. If routers suggestion doesnt work check to see if is yum configured?
