yum error


hi,
I've been using linux for about two months now and each time I tried to install an app using yum i get this error message:
Running rpm_check_debug
ERROR with rpm_check_debug vs depsolve:
[/B][/FONT]

i don't know if I did something wrong.

Hi femi.akinwa,

Could you please tell us the distro of the linux that ur using right now. As YUM comes pre-configured with RHEL5 onwards, so with flavour name only, it will become a bit clear.
Moreover, try to install any package using YUM and show us the result so that it will be easy for us to think out-of-the-box

You might also want to post the results of " yum repolist ".

Hi Femi.akinwa ,

Did u tried the 'yum repolist', or installion of any package through YUM ? if you have tried them, could you please show us the result ...
Fedora is a bit unstable as it is mostly used for testing purpose, but YUM should work fine with this.
