YUM broken?
Hello,
I've been having issues with yum for a while now. It won't install anything or update without crashing. When I tried to do 'yum update' after doing 'yum clean all' I got the following error: Quote:
I am not sure if I should uninstall/reinstall yum, or fix the repo files individually. I don't even know where to start really since I'm so new at using Linux. I'm using Momonga(fedora core) Linux. I've been able to install programs through the GUI add/remove programs, but not yum. I really want to install Wine, but it doesn't show up in the GUI, so I need to install it manually via yum I guess. Thank you for any help you can provide! |
It looks like they restructured their site a little.
Try switching to: http://dist.momonga-linux.org/pub/mo...ything/source/ or a slight variation thereof. |
Thanks for the help! I added the new web address to the momonga.repo file, but no luck. I kept fiddling around with different addresses and servers until I eventually got it right. Now I know a lot more about the whole yum servers and repo file setup. Thanks again!

seeing as the repo file is here ...
32 bit http://dist.momonga-linux.org/pub/mo...monga/i686/os/ and repodata http://dist.momonga-linux.org/pub/mo...6/os/repodata/ |
