yum/apt/up2date blending - problem of synchronisation?
 

hi and sorry if this has been asked but couldnt find anything revelant.

i am using all three yum/up2date/apt for updating and installing rpms. my question is: is there a danger that the packages will get mixed. i suspect that when an rpm is installed it must "leave its mark" somewhere where all the update managers can look for. btw which one of the three is more preferable. i suspect that all three can be configured to look at the same repositories (at least yum and up2date).

Yepp there is a rpm repository and you can use all of the tools concurrent.
