youtube website not opening

hi
i just installed fedora core 6 on my system and its the only OS
i had also installed flash player and could view videos in youtube
but for the past three days when i try to open youtube it gives the error

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at in.youtube.com.( though i typed www.youtube.com )

* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

it was the same with www.yourfilehost.com
no probs with any other website and i am using broadband connection
Selinux is disabled and firewall options has a tick for SSH only
plz help me out
thanks in advance

Mmm...thats interesting.

I know Youtube does a lot of maintenance on their servers, but usually you can still get on.

Did you try it from a different computer on the same network?

What is the output of:

Code:
ping www.youtube.com

Hi,

You could clear your 'private data' (under the tools menu) and see if that is the problem. After you clear then exit firefox completely and restart it. Try the site(s) in question again.

hi
thanks for the reply
tried ping www.youtube.com and got the first line as

PING youtube.l.google.com (208.117.236.72) 56(84) bytes of data.

Another line after this which was repeating itself

64 bytes from youtube.com (208.65.153.238): icmp_seq=2 ttl=239 time=353 ms

also cleared private data and reopened fiefox and tried accessing but got the same error as i had mentioned in my post .
Is there any chances of a virus attack ?
also tried ping / resolve youtube.com <hostname> but got the error
ping : unknown host / ( i dont know if that was what i was supposed to type)
Still i am not able to access youtube.
i have asked my friend to get his laptop to my place .
Shall keep you guys posted on that .

How to open youtube when it is banned or not opening

I was facing the same problems . Youtube is banned by my ISP.

I resolve this problem by visiting www.videosea.co.cc & www.videopk.co.cc
These videos loads & search youtube videos more faster and also are
not banned by ISPs

Hope this help you!
