Youtube is inverting colors

When I watch a video on youtube the colors are inverted. It may not actually be a color inversion but the colors are definitely skewed. I've noticed this in Firefox and Opera. To add to the puzzle if I watch the exact same video embedded in Facebook the colors are normal.

I posted snapshots from a video on flikr.

How it looks on Youtube;

I have no idea what is causing this but I'm open to suggestions.

OS is Mint Linux 10.04 with all latest updates.

I'm guessing you use an NVIDIA graphics card?
If so then you need to turn off hardware acceleration (right click the video and go to settings to find it) when you want to watch Youtube videos. Alternatively you could join the Youtube HTML5 trial to see the embedded WebM videos where possible.

That did it. Turned off hardware acceleration and the video's look fine.

Thanks,
