"You Need the Latest Version of Flash"


so i've installed the latest version of flash for linux (7). but when i navigate the web, i still run across sites that tell me i need to install flash. what gives?

Flash 7 is the latest released Flash for Linux but there is also Flash 8 and Flash 9. The only version of these available for Linux is a beta of Flash 9. Despite being a beta it's been quite stable for me. There's a thread about the beta if you care to search for it and it's available from Adobe's Flash Web site.
