Ymessenger crash when reciving a file from another Ymessenger user

I am using Mandrake Linux 10.1 and I have Ymessenger installed, I can send files to friends from Ymessnger, but when they try to send me a file say like a picture, Ymessenger just close's out after asking me if I would like to accept the file from the friend. I tried to set the preferences to download files and there is no place to tell ymessenger where to send downloaded files to. can some one please help me?

I really need Ymessenger to transfer some files to and from other users on ymessenger espeacially the users on windows version of ymessenger.

Not really a fix, but have you tried gaim? It works with yahoo for me find for sending and recieving files. For the official yahoo one, I would try running in from the terminal and let us know what errors you get if any when it crashes.
