Angry Yellow Dog Linux display resolution

So, one of my major petpeeves so far is that the resolution wont go any higher than 1024x768
is there anyway around this? i run in 1280x 1024 in mac os x and the tiny size is driving me nuts!

Try this link:

Here's another link about Yellow Dog 2.2 working @ 1600x1024. Maybe a variation on it willl work for you:

I have not tried any of this myself, as my 14" ibook won't go higher than 1024x768 in the native Mac OS X control panel anyway.
