YDL Newbie ? - Install OK but won't boot!

Hi all
I hope someone can help!

This is my first attempt at Linux (YDL) on a PPC 7300. I have a seperate 9G SCSI HDD for YDL. Followed all the setup procedure (7 times now) and finally was able to complete the installation. So I click exit to reboot and I get a message about not being able to find the filesystem (?) on the specified drive. I repeated the whole proceedure and got the same result.

I can't find any help anywhere else and don't want to folk out $140 for a boxed set just to see if it works.

Any clues out there?

Thanks in advance.
