YaST online update won't connect
 

Hello all. running SuSe 9.3 on intel 1.8 with ActionTec Gateway DSL modem. I, as you can see, can connect to internet with different browsers, but "YOU" will not connect. How do I change or adjust the settings, and to what? Also, if this is related, Winetools will not connect to download window files it needs either. Any help appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCE!

i haven't used suse in a while, but this site was pretty helpful. it worked perfectly, and i use the same modem you have.

hmmm...unless you pulled up a different page, that should be a walk-thru tutorial sorta thingy that takes you through the steps of using YOU?

you might try man YOU for the man page.

checked again, and yes, it is a walk thru for YOU, but the problem I have is not explained in the tutorial. I cannot connect to the server and I have no clue where to go to adjust the settings.

Did you try to choose another server from the pulldown menu? I am not very familiar with modems, but once the connection is established, YOU should be able to connect as well.
