Yahoo, MSN messanger
Is their any program on Linux that will allow me to talk to users using MSN or Yahoo messenger.
Thanks in advance! |
The most popular are Gaim and aMSN.

GAIM is good, I used aMSN a couple of times; but for Yahoo IM, I personally really like Gyach-Enhanced. It's the only Yahoo client for Linux I've found which supports webcams, and I really like its ability to "see" people who have marked themselves invisible.
Check it out at http://phpaint.sourceforge.net/pyvoicechat/ |
Kopete is also an alternative. Yahoo! messenger has its own Linux version, although somewhat outdated.

Thanx and regards |
if you wanna compile it, you'd use:
gyach-enhanced_pyvoice-binary-1.0.6-i586.tar.bz2 if you use an rpm based distro, such as fedora or suse, you'd use: Gyach-Enhanced-pYVoiceChat-1.0.6-1.i586.rpm |
