Question Yahoo Messener - Mandriva 2007

Hi Folks

I have downloaded the .exe file of yahoo messenger for Linux but somehow it is not running properly as it should do.

When i double click on .exe file, it just opens the list of progarams available in machine but not finding anything proper itself.

If you guys could help me then it would be great.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome to LQ. Linux has its own instant messenger apps that work with yahoo. Install gaim or kopete if you do not already have them on your system using your distributions packaging tools.

If it is the Linux version, it won't be an EXE file.

The Linux version of Yahoo Messenger is available from here. Get the Red Hat 9 version.

The download will be an RPM file. Click on this file from any file manager to install it.
