Yahoo messanger not signing in with squid 2.5 stable 6
 

Dear All

I have configured squid 2.5 stable 6. I can browse any website. I can even use msn messanger but I cannot use yahoo messanger.

I have also set the http proxy settings in preference for yahoo messanger but still it does not sign in .

Have you blocked some ports in your firewall?

I have not blocked any port in firewall.The firewall will be having its default configuration.If you guess that some port may be blocked please let me know about it.

If you can use internet and msn messenger it feels you have firewall in place. Check with port 5050. Also can you check with pidgin im messenger if the same problem persists?

I installed pidgin and it is working both with yahoo and hotmail.but yahoo messanger still is not working.

Then there is this issue. Not with your squid.

Actually the problem was with messanger. I installed the latest one and now it is working fine.
