Yahoo Linux

Hi,

Does anyone know where to get Yahoo messenger for Linux

I've got this rh9.ymessenger-1.0.4-1.i386.rpm but its kind of very old and does not

have a good interface. It also has some bugs and overall it's not at par with it's

windows contemporaries.

Also there might be some other good messengers for yahoo

Can i use GAIM for Yahoo.?

I have got GAIM but i don't know how to use it

No, it's not old. It's just not updated The Linux version, of course, doesn't have the same "privileges" like the Win one.

You can use instead GAIM or Kopete.

In GAIM go to accounts and click Add. Now select Yahoo from the protocol drop down menu. Now fill in your username (probably your email address) and password if you want to save it. Click the save button. Close the accounts box. Enter your password, if you didn't save it, into the login screen. Click sign-on and wait for it to connect. Hope that helps.
