xxms vs .wav

xmms not supporting .wav format.

is there any player like media player for linux.and also replace for xmms.

I use XMMS a lot but I have to say as many have before. Mplayer is just the best all around player for most all types of media, audio or video.

Also, if you have "lame" installed just convert the .wav to .mp3. then xmms not problem.

lame sample.wav sample.mp3

simple, pluse 75% size reduction.
