XWin don't fit my screen

Hi Guys,

I've followed every sign from you in order to get a good config file: XF86Config-4
I have a ViewSonic E70 monitor and the XWin application don't fit my screen. There is almost one inch from the monitor frame to the Xwin Desktop. Does the kenerl version involve on this?
My Kernel version is 2.2.20-idepci.

Just in case see bellow a piece of my Config file.

Salu2!

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "ViewSonic"
HorizSync 31.5 - 70.0
VertRefresh 50.0 - 120.0
Option "dpms"
EndSection

Section "Screen"

EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"

EndSubSection
SubSection "Display"

Have you tried running xorgconfig?

Another tool you might try is xvidtune. It enables you to make a display wider, narrower, shift it right or left, etc.

The kernel is probably not at fault at all; it's just that settings need to be changed in your config file. Those two programs may be what you need. (See manual pages on both of them.)
