A simple question, but I was a bit confused when I couldn't find an answer. How can I find out the list of encodings used by xterm?

do you mean flags/switches/options for xterm? like sort of set transparency, set the font or its geometry?

xterm is pretty limited I believe, you might get some better results from urxvt or something.
