XSETUP and Vector
 

I use XSETUP in Vector before running "startx", trying to set the screen to 800 x 600 or to 1024 x 768, but it just ignores it. When I start the Window manager, the text is tiny and when I reboot, the resolution setting is the same as it was before I changed it (fixed at 640 x 480 apparently bearing no relation to the actual screen resolution).

Any suggestions please.

in vector linux u could run

vxconf

to setup ur X

this is to be run in txt mode
