first of all, is there a very specific reason that you are using a version of redhat that is six years old an no longer supported?
Before you go any farther I would suggest you upgrade to a modern version of linux. If you want to stay with Redhat, then either go for Fedora core if you want bleeding edge, or CentOS if you want something nice and stable. CentOS is a clone of Redhat Enterprise Linux.
If you have good reason to use such a old distro, you REALLY better know what your doing, as there are probally some pretty serious exploits in a release that hasnt been supported in a long time. Also, you will find that the newer offerings are more user friendly anyway
