xscreensaver intermittently works?
 

Hey guys, I got one for you. I am trying to figure it out. I have xscreensaver installed and configured. I have it set to turn on after 5 minutes, cycle every 5 minutes. I have acpi setup to blank my monitor after 10 minutes and power off after 15 minutes.

The problem is, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't figured it out. The service from what I can tell only runs when the screen saver is active. So checking ps -e doesn't tell me much, and since there isn't a true problem it is not recording anything in the logs.

Anyone ever hear of this?

49 views, 0 replies. LOL that's kind of what I expected. It is weird. I just recently replaced the hard drives as mine failed. I put in 2 drives and during the install set them up with RAID 1. The drives are new, and all other hardware passed diagnostics. You can get diag disc everywhere, I use The Ultimate Boot Disc. I think it uses BartPE.

Anyways, Hardware is good. From what I can see, software is good. Why is there a problem? I don't know, doesn't bother me much, just kinda annoys me that I haven't figured it out.
