xrdp from windows into centos 7


hi guys,

trying to mstsc from my windows laptop into my centos7 box over the lan...

first things first...do i need to port forward my modem for 3389 to the linux box? i wouldnt think so...as im doing this over the lan...but i cant get it working...

i installed xrdp via the epel repository
started the service
made firewall exceptions
selinux commands were also added

i was following a guide...but my remote connection is not working

any help appreciated

ok so i restarted the centos7 box and now mstsc is connecting in...but after i login i get
vnc error: only supporting 8,15,16 and 24 bpp connections
then it logs me out again

any ideas?

Configure your mstsc connection for 24 bit and try it.

hi jefro i installed xfce and am using that now...how come my session from mstsc is still gnome?
do i need to configure something?
