putkowski LQ Newbie Registered: Aug 2003 Location: middle georgia Posts: 6 Rep:	xp sees samba - me does not using rh9 (clean install, not upgrade.0 in addition to problems with gnome complaining about an ip address at login when I try to use shrike.MSHOME as a hostname, my xp box sees the linux shares, but ME machines don't see the machine or the shares. this must be simple (it worked fine under rh7) please type to me
