XP resize problem
 

I want to install linux on an existing XP hard disk.
I wanted to resize the only NTFS partition with PM8.0 but I get an error (#27 cant lock drive).
Hard disk is 40Gb 50% used , defranmented and I want to set free 5Gb. Want to keep XP running.

Cant find this error on PM web.

Suggestions ???

are you using xp home or xp professional ?

XP profesional.... Anyway i've already solved the problem.
i've boot the system from PM's rescue disk and i was able to resize from there since XP was not running!
