XP and Linux
I'm pretty sure that many have already asked this to you guys, so I apologize for repeating (maybe).
Can someone give me a step by step instruction on how to install for example red hat or mandrake on my PC which already has a Windows XP. I know I have to create a NTFS partition for it, but I would rather be sure before trying. I would appreciate any help + tips on this matter as I am really interested on learning more about linux. Thank you in advance. :) |
it is not all tough.you dont have to create an ntfs partition for it.just proceed with what the installation CD says.take care abt partitioning and dont forget to create a boot floppy.
I am adding some links which could be usefull. http://dmoz.org/Computers/Software/O...ort/Tutorials/ http://grouchy.cs.indiana.edu/usr/lo...hapter2.6.html http://www.geocities.com/desktopmand...inuxwithxp.htm google.com ============== if in trouble/doubt,post them. |

You'll need to either use Mandrake which can resize NTFS partitions, or use Partition Magic, which can do the same thing.
