XP and Linux

I have 2 PC's setup as a Network and they're talking to each other. One is running XP Home Edition and the other one is 98SE.
I want to take the 98SE hard drive out and put one in that I have Linux vs.7.0 installed on.
Will XP and Linux communicate with each other?
Thanks, John

Yes!
You can share files using NWN and samba.
FTP files
Telnet
Share internet connections etc

Even put your Win98 HDD back in and make the system dual boot!

Yes, but you need to install Samba (www.samba.org or from packages coming with your distro). BTW If you're thinking about RH 7.0, consider a newer version, maybe 8.0 (new versions of nearly everything and security updates).

do you mean like sharing files and what not? From the Samba page it appears that Win XP and Linux will talk. Just need the latest version of Samba is all.
