XP's user switching in redhat ??

I was just wondering, before I go and commit to the change to redhat, how does one switch user accounts under redhat without the dialup session disconnecting.
For example , under windows XP, I can dialup under my login and then change to another user account and still have the internet dialup connected

Cheers

Depending on what program you use to dial up with, you can most likely always switch consoles in Linux and login as a different user that way.

If you currently use kppp (or similar) to
connect I suggest you change that to
using pppd with demand-dialing. That
way it's a system service, and you don't
need to worry about it.

The alternative would be to have two
xsessions running (which can be quite
easily achieved) (Go to a full-screen
console and type startx -- :1). You can
then switch back and forth between
the two graphical desktops :) using
<CTRL>+<ALT>+<F-Key> ...

Cheers,
Tink
