xorg version question

I just ran the urpmi update for Mandriva 2006 and it wants to install an update for my xorg.x11. I say ok an it says it installs but it doesn't. On checking I find that I have 'xorg-x11-6.9-1cvs20050915.2mdk' installed an urpmi wants to update it to 'xorg-x11-6.9.0-5.10.20060mdk' How do I get it to update to the 20060mdk from the 20050915.2mdk? I can remove the xorg.x11 now installed but that will wipe out a lot of needed files for graphic display. If I wipe out the old file how do I get the new ones installed and configured? Help.

is it throwing any kind of error? have you looked through the log files? you could also download the updates and install them locally

xorg version question

No messages, no log problems. The bar on the urpmi goes across like it's loading something and then says done. I look for the file and it's not there. I run uninstall and it's not there. I go back to update and it's there to be installed again. I've done a search and it can't be found. How do I do a manual install? Will it get the configuration data needed to start the graphics on boot? Right now I have a mix of 2005 and 2006 files in the xorg folder and I think it's causing some problems, I'd like to get them all to be 2006.
Thank you,
