xorg seems to have different permissions depending on if started by xdm or qingy

Recently I switched to qingy from xdm to get selection of what session to run at login screen. Qingy works well but lxde session started with it seems to have permissions missing like when flash drive plugged in says daemon is inhibited and exit dialog only has logout not shutdown or restart. I think this is lxde being started differently not individual problems else because switching to xdm solves all of this. Can anyone tell me if xdm starts lxde differently from qingy and if so how to make qingy start lxde like xdm to fix this. I have read the config files and they all look to be going to .xinitrc through a series of scripts. This is output of uname -a:

Thanks for any help.

You can check permissions (UID — user ID) of processes by running ps -eF. Try to do this when running session by qingy and by xdm and compare them.

Thanks for the reply, I will try that and see if there is indeed a difference between the two.
