XMMS problem
 
hello all

i am running redhat release 9 . and i have a problem with my xmms (xmms-1.2.7-1.i386.rpm)
i have installed but it is not running
and a message is saying that mp3 support has been removed fron this version
so tell me how to run

or tell me another good mp3 player for this release .

xmms is a great piece of software to use. First, I'd suggest you upgrade to Fedora for security reasons. Second, please post the exact outcome of your error message.

You can get a full working version of xmms at freshrpms. I support the notion that you should ditch RH9 in favour of Fedora coz there are no more updates for it from Redhat.

yum install xmms-mp3 or uninstall xmms then compile from source
