xmms and MPEG player are not working
 

Hi Linux addicts,

I am new to Linux but i installed Redhat8.0 in my system. I wonder that why my xmms is not responding for the sound. In xmms the icon and application is coming but it is not giving the selected files in the play-list. If you again go for the selection of audio files it won't select. In the other hand the winamp2.79 is working properly in linux OS. that resembles there is no problem in sound card. Could you guide me to hear a song in linux.

One more thing, i too wonder that no MPEG player won't support in my system. I don't know why it is. can i try for some settings changes. Please guide me.
