xml support

New to linux, I have just installed Mandrake v10 as I want to look at using Apache, PHP, MySQL to host a Mamboserver based website. On installing Mambo I get an installation page which shows you what is needed to continue, my holdup being no XML support on my system, I thought PHP would be configured with XML support? It is not so what do I need to do to correct this.

Thanks Pete
