Wasn't your original goal to edit an xml file? If you are reading this file in the editor and you have write access to the file, you are editing it.

You need to tell us more about the background of the xml. Where did you get it from and which application were you supposed to open it with? Have you tried opening it with LibreOffice Calc?

Its a recieved invoice. I simply want to open it, to read it. LO calc gives an empty sheet.

Without attaching the file again here (it contained personal information so was correctly deleted), there was a website mentioned near the top of the document regarding the company who produced the document, or the software that produced the document. What was that web address?

Sorry, that wasn't it. It was something like easyinvoicing.nl, simpleinvoicing.nl, etc.?

Okay. Contact the person who sent you the e-invoice and ask them how you can view it.

There's no way for users themselves to close a thread, they just stop contributing to it. You can mark the thread as "Solved" but that would give a misleading impression to viewers in the future who come to this thread looking for a solution, so I wouldn't bother doing that.

Anyway, I'm glad you got the PDF.
