xine


would anyone please tell me why the dvdrom in my toshiba 3005 S304 does not load the dvd movie that in the drive.

I type xine in the xterm and mandrake show me an interface;
I click the dvd icon then I click play,but nothing happen.

you need a /dev/dvd i think. jus symlink it from which ever device it is

Hi !!!

If the dvd you are trying to play is encrypted, then xine will not play it, you have to install a plugin for xine that lets you play encrypted dvds here .
