XFCE and kde/gnome apps (launcher menu question)

Long story short, I am using XFCE as my desktop env. One thing I like about ICEWM that XFCE does not have is it already knew all my kde/gnome apps and included them in the "start" menu (even organized by category and everything). So question:

1. Can I make XFCE do this?

2. If not where can I find this "metadata" so that I can create my own shortcut / menu w/o having to type everysingle app / category etc?

Thanks

Although probably not the best way, I just realized I can simply add "kicker &" and "gnome-panel &" to my .xsession file and have the panel for each up and running (kde by itself is enough though). That way I can easly get to all my programs while using XFCE as my desktop env.

Incase anyone is reading this, ignore the above post. .xsession is NOT the place to put "kicker &" (at least not the way I did it).

Turns out that would cause kdeinit to launch (that's ok) but not before it (kicker) became defunct/zombie. Then kdeinit would relaunch kicker, but kde itself (the libs I'm guessing) were not probably working/initialized.

The best way I've found is simply to run "kicker" from the run command once you've logged in. Then everything seems to work fine.
