Xconsole

I had to reinstall, so I only installed the gnome desktop. It was up and running so I setup my email browser blah, blah, blah. Then I did the online update, when it fiished I rebooted and now I can only login to the XCONSOLE. How can I get back to logging into GNOME (normally) insted of XCONSOLE .

Thanks in advance

Question

I have the same problem buddy, its one of the updates!

I've checked the internet and tried to edit Xsetup file its probably in /etc/X11/xdm.......didn't work.

All I want is stop xconsole from loading up in the startup.

If someone finds a fix, please post it here :S
