xconfigurator

I have a display problem, in that despite being probed during installation the hardware settings are obviously wrong somewhere.
So on the advice of the online manual I am typing xconfigurator at the prompt but to no avail. I get bad command error messages.
(I log in as root, then type xconfigurator).
Startx leads to blank screen.
Please help.

i reinstalled redhat and customised the install. I made sure Xconfigurator was included.
It now works fine.
All I got to do is figure out how to get a display going....
(i keep ending up with a blank screen/crash)

That is hardly a reason to reinstall everything from scratch. You could have avoided that. You should only have to reinstall in extreme cases.

But if you have any more questions about your setup of X, feel free to ask.
