Unhappy Xavi 7005q2 ADSL modem eciadsl driver install problem in linux Redhat enterprise

I m using Redhat Enterprise edition (kernel 2.4.21-4.EL)
I have downloaded the drivers for ADSL modem Xavi 7005q2 from flashtux (url:eciadsl.flashtux.org/download/eciadsl-usermode-0.11.tar.gz)
who claim to provide support for it.
what i did was.
extract the files in /home/modem/eciadsl folder then,
./configure
make
make install
ran, the #eciadsl-config-text
entered all the relevant data from (url: eciadsl.flashtux.org/modems.php?lang=en&modem=70)
Vid1/Pid1: 0e60 / 0600
Vid2/Pid2: 0e60 / 0600
Synch .bin: gs7470_synch04.bin
Chipset: GS7470
Synch alt: 5
Pppoeci alt: 1

then i started by #eciadsl-start
Warning: n_hdlc support not found in kernel config
upto synchronization was successful. then error:
Couldn't set tty to PPP discipline: Invalid argument 10 such lines , then
Waiting for 10 child processes...
script /usr/local/bin/eciadsl-pppoeci -vpi 1 -vci 32 -vendor 0x0e60 -product 0x0600 -mode VCM_RFC2364, pid 6181
10 such lines with different PID
Script /usr/local/bin/eciadsl-pppoeci -vpi 1 -vci 32 -vendor 0x0e60 -product 0x0600 -mode VCM_RFC2364 finished (pid 6154), status = 0xfc
10 each for different PIDs
then i ran #eciadsl-doctor and it returned: OHCI support failed to load, and modprobe: Can't locate module n_hdlc
HDLC support: failed to load
plz tell me what to do

i guess you need to add: n_hdlc suport as a module.

make sure there arn't any other 'better' drivers/softawre 'out there' for this modem.

i'm sorry i don't.

however if you do load it, it might solve your issue.

i was on their web site, but i don't read french.

are you 'sure' this is for linux?

also you may try upgrading your kernel-- it may have this type support availble with it already.

these 'may' help also:

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=204140

let us know.. good luck.

why don't you upgrade your kernel? this 'may' help (it 'won't hurt

if you do, back everything (or at least your important personal things).

also, have you tested this modem in another os (win, knoppix, etc).?

post your lmod and dmesg.

is this a usb or ethernet? it looks like ethernet.. but ohci is usb.. no?

dont' give up.. keep us informed.. you'll get it
