Xanim

Hey guys, I'm having the hardest time finding resources on the web on how to get mozilla web browser to use Xanim to load video . I would love to watch movie trailers as I do with Internet Explorer with the Mozilla browser. The only thing I have done is downloaded and decompressed Xanim. Xanim decompresses into a directory "usr". From here on in, I have no clue what to do. Any suggestions?

Check with http://fredrik.hubbe.net/plugger.html
There is some info about how to play streams in mozilla. You can also try the mplayer plugin.

I've been to that site, it's Soooo Vague!
Installation procedure

1. Download and untar the archive.
2. Change directory into the Plugger directory.
3. If you have root access, do 'make install' as root. Otherwise, do 'make localinstall'.
4. done!

where the heck is the Plugger directory? I have tried to "locate Plugger" and that didn't work very well...

It's in /usr/bin where I am.
Did never install it 'by hand' only emerge plugger with debian and don't actually use it.Sorry I can't help you any better. You try the netscape or mozilla website about more info - just search for plugger or plugins there.
