X11 and Firefox not working as I expected

I'm using SSH and forwarding X11 from a remote RHEL 4 machine to my Ubuntu desktop. With all applications except firefox it works as I expect. The application is executed on the remote host and the window is forwarded to my desktop. With firefox when I execute it on the remote machine a firefox window appears on my desktop that is exactly as Firefox is configured on my machine not the remote one. It is almost as if the code execution is taking place at my end.

Has anyone seen this before?

Yes this happened to me also, in the same condition.
I haven't tried to solve this before, anyway I found that firefox has the command line option "-no-remote" that seems to be the right option (I tested it locally on my machine and two different firefox instances with different profiles are now open)
