x windows configuration

I've been looking around for half now trying to find the command, which helps me configure Xwindow System in Fedora Core 2. Can somebody help me out? And something else; in Slackware 10 i used the command "xorgconfig", but this doesn't work here. Why? Both use XOrg, as far as i know.

not sure about fedora core...it might use xf86config for the command...
also, you prolly know this, but you have to su to root to run the command...

Not sure if it's this way with other folks as well, but, on my system,

$ su
Password:

to "root" will not load the root PATH spec. Thus, again, on my system, just using "su" to get to root will not allow one to simply run "xorgconfig"

However, if I change to root either by actually logging into a terminal login as "root" or if I use

$ su -
Password:

Then the root PATH spec is loaded and I can then just type "xorgconfig" from anywhere.

Sorry it doesn't really answer the original poster's question, but thought that putting this elaboration here might help others if they have experienced the issues I describe above.

Well, "xorgconfig" doesn't run either when i've logged in as root, nor when i "su".
