x-window-system troubles..
howdy,
I've seen this problem quite commonly around but I still unfortunatly haven't found a solution to it. So if anyone can help it would be great. I decided i'd install Debian to my mum's 2nd partition for an experiment with x server and drivers and so. So I got it installed fine, setup lilo nicely and went to fire up x (startx). I get... Code:
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Xinit/Xserverrc : /usr/bin/X11/X No Such File or Directory Can someone point me in the right direction with this? I'd like you know where I can re select the video card and get past the first error. Thanks. |
I't would be useful if you would give more info on error... and hardwear...
Which version of Debian are you using? |
yea sorry.. I'm using Debian 3r2. The video card is one of those default ones that comes with Acer packaged PCs. SiS chipset.
