Question X.win32 to connect to RedHat

Hi people,

I am a newbie in Linux. I have recently installed RedHat 9.0 on my workstation. I have Win2k on my Laptop. I can use Putty to make a text based connection to my RedHat but I want to use X-Win32 to connect to my RedHat to have a graphical linux desktop on my Win2k.

How can I do it?

For this purpose I recommend using VNC, however if you really want to use X11 there's 2 ways you can do this: First one is XDMCP, enable it in Redhat login manager configuration then add an XDMCP session in X-Win32, once connected you'll see the login screen which allows you to login and use your X Session. Second way is manually start an empty X Servre in X-Win32, ssh into the Redhat box, make sure the DISPLAY variable is set correctly then directly run X apps from the command line, the display will be shown on a remote X Server which is X-Win32.
